The Aston Manor Academy All Staff calendar can be accessed from 3 places: 1. Outlook for the web 2. Oultook desktop App 3. AMA Portal. The below instructions explain how you can access the calendar via these methods. It is important to note that this is the same calendar accessible via 3 different methods and anything you post on the calendar will be viewable by all staff.
Outlook for the web
For direct access to the OWA calendar window please use this link: https://outlook.office.com/calendar/view/week
Step 1: Navigate to https://outlook.office.com/mail/inbox and click on the calendar icon located in the bottom left-hand corner, outlined in red below.
Step 2: Scroll down to the group's section and tick the "AMA All Staff" calendar. Please see below in red for reference. Once this is ticked the calendar grid will show all active calendar events in the view you have configured.
Outlook Desktop App
Step 1: Open the Outlook App and navigate to the calendar tab located in the bottom left hand corner. See below:
Step 2: Navigate to the "All Group Calendars" section on the right hand side of the window, outlined in red below. Then select (tick box) the "AMA All Staff" calendar, this will bring the calendar on screen as seen below. On this screen you can create, view and edit calendar events.
Outlook Mobile App
We recommend that you use the Outlook mobile app for both Emails and Calendar events.
Step 1: Open the Outlook mobile app and navigate to the calendar found in the bottom right-hand corner. Once you see the calendar screen click your initials that are found in the top left-hand corner.
Step 2: From the list show choose the "AMA All Staff" calendar. Once this has been selected you will see a tick next to the calendar and it will then show on your main calendar view.
The calendar on the AMA Portal currently resides on the right-hand side of the page. It will show 10 events at one listed like below. If you are not seeing an even that has recently been added you can press the "Sync Calendar" button, refreshing the page will also re-sync the calendar.
You can also use the "Past Tab" to see past events that have already taken place. It is important to note that you can't add new events from the portal. Adding new events will need to take place in either Outlook for the web or the Outlook desktop App.
